Travel vaccinations

vaccination_travelWe regularly provide the necessary vaccinations for travel abroad, whether it’s for work or leisure. There can be very specific vaccination requirements for particular countries and failure to comply can mean a risk to health or even prevention from entering the country altogether.

Please call us if you or an employee needs to travel abroad and we can advise exactly what vaccinations are needed and arrange a suitable vaccination programme.

Yellow Fever

We are an official Yellow Fever Centre registered under the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC).

Yellow fever is an extremely serious viral infection found in in sub-Saharan Africa, South America and parts of the Caribbean. Spread by mosquitoes, Yellow Fever causes serious health issues in around 15% of cases, including kidney failure and bleeding from the mouth, nose, eyes or stomach. Up to half of those who experience these symptoms will die.

It is therefore crucial that anyone travelling to these areas is correctly vaccinated by an approved Yellow Fever Centre. Please get in touch if you or an employee plans to travel to an affected area.

Flu vaccinations

Every winter, flu leads to ill health in the workplace, widespread lost working time and additional pressure on remaining staff. A single infected person can quickly spread the virus to many colleagues, and the source of the infection is often outside of your own staff.

Black and Banton can help reduce the effects of flu on your workforce by providing a flu vaccination programme before the onset of ‘flu season’ (typically from October). In around five minutes per person and using the latest vaccination type (the flu virus mutates regularly so you cannot become immune), we will vaccinate your workforce and reduce the damaging effects of a flu outbreak in your business.
